A 44-year-old man from Londonderry is to stand trial accused of perverting the course of justice.
Gary Kelly, of Knockena, Cityside, is charged with doing an act with intent to pervert the course of justice on December 24, last year.
It is alleged he gave a false statement to police about the last known driver of a vehicle.
During a brief hearing at the Magistrates Court, the accused declined to say anything in answer to the charges or to call any evidence.
Kelly was released on his own bail of £350 to appear at the Crown Court for arraignment on August 26.
