A Londonderry gymnasium is throwing its doors open for free on Wednesday, September 9.
PureGym, Londonderry, says it will be supporting National Fitness Day by giving non-members the chance to use the facilities.
Maggs Campbell, General Manager at PureGym, Londonderry, said: “National Fitness Day is a great initiative that PureGym are proud to be a part of.
“We are becoming more sedentary as a nation so anything that we can do to encourage people to get active and educate them on the benefits is worthwhile.”
They gym’s offering free day passes for anyone over eighteen that is looking to lead a healthier lifestyle and experience first-hand what the club has to offer.
The initiative is being run by not-for-profit health body UKactive who are taking on the task of raising awareness of the importance and benefits of physical activity. The ultimate goal is to kick-start the journey to regular exercise for thousands of people across the country.
