For those of you keen to enjoy a festive night of musical entertainment, look no further than the Mayor’s annual Christmas Concert that is taking place at the Guildhall on December 21 at 8pm.

Christmas is a time for sharing and caring, so why not enjoy a night of entertainment from Codetta, the City of Derry Junior and Youth choirs and also live orchestra and solo performances?

Tickets are priced at £8 for adults and £4 for children with all proceeds are going towards the Mayor’s chosen charities Something Special and Circle of Support.

Mayor Brenda Stevenson said it promised to be a fantastic festive event for all the family.

“It’s the perfect way to begin the Christmas celebrations and enjoy traditional festive music performed by local talent in the beautiful surroundings of the Guildhall,” she said.

The Mayor added that she was delighted her chosen charities would be benefiting from the concert. Something special is an organisation which sets out to advance the educational opportunities for people with learning disabilities. Circle of support is a support group which was set up in 2011 in order to support families with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Tickets for the concert are currently on sale from the Guildhall reception.
