ChildLine Foyle had a double celebration at its special Volunteer Week conference held recently at the Millennium Forum.
As well as recognising the loyalty and achievements of key volunteers, there was also a celebration to mark eight years of helping young people access vital support.
Victoria Murphy, volunteer coordinator for ChildLine Foyle said: “We are so fortunate to have such an amazing group of dedicated volunteers who are willing to give up some of their time and energy to volunteer here, often late at night and at weekends when young people need us most.
We are delighted to be able to say a huge thank you and to award them some well- deserved certificates of achievement to acknowledge such valuable work.
ChildLine is currently recruiting new volunteers and anyone who is interested in finding our more about the organisation and how to help can telephone 02820 441734 or visit www.nspcc.org.uk/volunteer.
