Busy season at Drummond

It's been a busy summer for the Drummond Centre Youth Club in Donemana - and the rest of the year looks set to be the same!

Last month, Managing Director David Buchanan visited the Beechill Hotel in Ardmore to meet with SSE Airtricity and Slievekirk Wind Farm representatives.

He was presented with funding which has been used on LED lights for outside the Centre which work.

The Drummond Centre Project Ltd Tractor Run will take place this Saturday, September 8.

Registration will take place at 5pm leaving at 6pm.

Entry fee is £10 per tractor Which includes food afterwards in the Village Inn, Donemana. This will be followed by music and a fundraising raffle.

The starting point for the Tractor Run will be Buchanan’s Field (first on the left when leaving Bridge heading towards Artigarvan). The route will be signposted for anyone not sure of directions.

Any businesses or organisation who would be willing to sponsor the Tractor Run are asked to contact David Buchanan or Margaret McLaughlin via the group’s Facebook page.

The Drummond Centre Project would like to thank the businesses who have already agreed to sponsor the event - Glenfresh Foods Ltd, Village Inn Donemana, M Beatties & Sons and Barry Buchanan (Blackpark).

All proceeds from the event in aid of Drummond Centre Youth Club.

The officers and members of Barron Accordion Band would like to thank all the bands and supporters that attended their annual band parade in Donemana on August 4 and contributed generously to their street collection of £507.40.
