Burglary at Eglinton

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary of commercial premises on Main Street in Eglinton.

Constable Martin said; “It was reported that sometime between 5pm on Friday 17 March and 12pm on Saturday 18 March entry was gained to the premises and a number of items stolen including a jump pack for a car, an electric heater, a welder and a trolley.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or have information about the incident or anyone who may be offered similar items for sale in suspicious circumstances to contact Police at Strand Road on 101 quoting reference 807 18/03/2017. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
