The main event, of course, will be the fabulous ‘Out of this World in the City of Bones’ street carnival, which will be followed by a high octane pyrotechnics display on the River Foyle at Queen’s Quay.

Here’s what you need to know in order to enjoy a fantastic all ages family event, which has now become legendary throughout the world, and is a highlight of the Derry calendar.

At 7pm sharp on Monday the largest Hallowe’en street carnival and costume party in Europe will depart Queen’s Quay Car Park, making its way across Boating Club Lane and up the Strand Road towards the harbour roundabout before travelling down Queen’s Quay back down to the Derry City and Strabane District Council offices.

The parade will feature the finest carnival, circus and street performers from across the city, Ireland and Europe, in an illuminated spectacle like no other.

The assembled ghosts and ghouls can then enjoy the climax of this year’s Hallowe’en celebrations, a spooktacular fireworks display on the River Foyle riverfront. The display kicks off at 8pm sharp, so get there early in order to ensure a good view for you and your little monsters.
