LiveSmart Community Grant Programme set to open
A new funding scheme to help local groups improve and protect the environment has been launched by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.
The LiveSmart Community Environmental Grant Programme will provide small grants of up to £500 to community and voluntary organisations who want to:
* Improve general cleanliness and tackle litter.
* Promote recycling, reusing and waste reduction.
* Look at ways of reducing our carbon footprint through simple, practical actions.
Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council Alderman Mark Fielding said: “Our Borough is renowned for its beautiful scenery and visitor experience. We want to work with our local communities to preserve this for the future.
“Along with our own Council staff there are many volunteers who work tirelessly to protect the natural environment we all share. I would encourage our community and voluntary sector to participate in this grant programme so we can continue to make changes for the better together.”
The grant scheme runs until Friday, June 18.
