Owner of The Gatelodge files for bankruptcy

The owner of the Cityside business The Gatelodge has filed for bankruptcy.

Glynis Hughes, whose occupation was given as a complimentary therapist, has an address at 26 Clonmeen Drive, Strathfoyle, on the outskirts of Londonderry, and formerly resided at 13 Summer Meadows Park, in the Waterside. She traded under the name The Gate Lodge, 91 Strand Road, Londonderry.

The debtor’s application was presented in the High Court on April 28 and the order was made on May 7.

The Gatelodge was the first purpose-built holistic healing centre in Northern Ireland. It is based in the refurbished historic Gatelodge on the edge of the Aberfoyle estate, also home to the University of Ulster’s Magee campus. It was renowned for offering a broad range of services, in an atmosphere of calm and tranquillity, by highly qualified therapists.
