Millennium Forum announces
the reopening of its box office

Londonderry’s Millennium Forum has announced that its Box Office ticket sales will open to the general public at 10am on Friday November 27, after a forced closure for seven months due to the pandemic.

The city’s flagship theatre, which has welcomed such globally famous stars as Bryan Adams and Van Morrison, and hosted world tours of shows such as Mamma Mia! and West End hit shows such as Evita in its almost 20-year history, was forced to close on March 23 in line with Government guidelines for theatres and concert halls.

Chief Executive, David McLaughlin, said: “Whilst this year has been a challenging time for most businesses, the theatre sector has been particularly badly hit due to the restriction of social distancing which has rendered our business untenable in the current climate.

“While we have been forced to cancel our programme for the bulk of 2020 and the first half of 2021, we have some exciting shows later in 2021 and into 2022 which our customers are buying.

“These include the West End tour of Dirty Dancing in September 2021 and the UK and Ireland tour of Strictly Ballroom in 2022.”
