SINGER, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Rokia Traore plays the Nerve Centre in Londonderry on November 9.
The first artist to be announced for the 2013 Glastonbury festival, she headlined WOMAD on July 27.
Her new album ‘Beautiful Africa’ was released, to rave reviews, in April on Nonesuch Records.
Graeme Farrow, Culture Company’s Executive Programmer, said: “We have tried to present a wide variety of quality music for all tastes within many genres throughout the year.
“It is a bit of a coup to welcome Rokia Traore to the city for her only date on the island. Rokia is the queen of African music right now and one of the best live acts on the planet.”
Tickets for the show cost £16.50 including booking fee and are available from the Culture Company box office at www.millenniumforum.co.uk
