US indie-pop group Poliça are set to play The Glassworks in Londonderry as part of Other Voices next February.

Irish indie popsters Bellx1 will also be playing in Londonderry over February 7 - 9.

Meanwhile, an open call for “Music Trail” performers to play around the city during the festival will remain open from December 20 to January 10.

Philip King of Other Voices said: “At BBC radio’s ‘a year in night’ concert at St Columb’s Hall last week I saw and heard the Music Promise in action.

“It was so uplifting to hear the young voices of the city play and sing with such verve and brilliance.

“This is indeed a Singing City and coming back in February feels like a homecoming for us.

“Seeds have been sown and friendships have been forged, Other Voices is delighted to contribute over the coming years to building an enduring legacy for the City and its people”

Mayor Martin Reilly said: “The return of Other Voices fits perfectly with the Legacy Plan from Derry City Council and partners, a plan which will focus on 2014 as a City of Music, and I have no doubt that the lineup of artists will match the caliber we come to expect with the Other Voices production from Dingle.

“The Music Trail and its associations will provide a great platform for local talent and artists and the opportunity to engage community programmes such as the fantastic Music Promise.

“We will be ready to welcome visitors for a music weekend in which we can showcase our city and its musical flair.”
