Winter series starts on Sunday

THE first of a winter series of 5k races to mark the 30th anniversary of North West Triathlon Club will take place this weekend.

Race one will leave from Sainsbury’s car park on Sunday at 10am.

The scenic run route will follow the riverside path through Bay Road Park towards Foyle Bridge and return to the finish line at Sainsburys car park.

Registration opens at 9am at Sainsbury’s car park. Runners of all abilities and walkers are welcome to take part in the event.

To complete the anniversary series, a further three races are to be held on December 9th, January 13th and February 10th, weather permitting,

The entrance fee is £6 per race and all competitors who complete the four race series will receive a NWTC 5k technical t-shirt.
