City of Derry travel to County Down on Saturday to face Ballynahinch in the quarter-final of the First Trust Bank Senior Cup (KO 2.30pm).

The prize for the winners is a place in the last four on Saturday 14th November.

Derry are currently flying high at the top of All Ireland League Division 2B following four great victories three of which came with a four try bonus point.

Ballynahinch on the other hand are bottom of bottom of AIL Division 1A following four defeats two of which were hammerings from UCD and Clontarf.

City of Derry and Ballynahinch have played one another twice in the last two seasons in the semi-final of the Ulster Senior Cup.

The men from County Down have come away on both occasions with narrow victories denying the Judges Road players and supporters a trip to The Kingspan Stadium for the final.

Derry went into the fixture last season low on confidence and sitting bottom of AIL Division 2A, however it’s all change at Judges Road now.

Times have changed as well as respective league positions and City of Derry Head Coach Terry McMaster will travel with high expectation this Saturday.
He will also put his best team available on the pitch as if your name is on the Cup you can’t disrespect the Gods of the Game.
