In very blustery conditions at Prehen Saturday’s Stableford competition was won on a three way break of tie on 39 points.

Ralph Hamilton (12) won it with a Break of Tie over second and third places having 21 points on his back 9.

Tommy McBride (4) was second and Conor McKnight (15) was third, both having 21 points on their front nine’s, but Tommy’s back three hole score just pipped Connor’s finishing holes.

Mr. Noel O’Connell’s Skippers Day will take on Thursday April 9th and a subsidised 2 course meal of roast beef or chicken will be available to members. Cost to members for entry to competition and meal will be £8.

Please enter your name and choice of meal on the sheets available in the locker room and the Pro Shop. Presentation of prizes and meal will take place at 6.30pm.

City of Derry Golf Club’s Fred Daly team have been drawn against Hilton Hotel Golf Club in the first round.

The first match will take place at Prehen on Friday, April 10th, tee off 2pm. The return match is scheduled for the following day, at 2.30pm.

The following players have been selected for the match. Aaron King, Jordan Dunn, Matthew Orr, Andrew Dickson, Conor Given, Ronan Burns and Michael O’Hara. Players are asked to meet at City of Derry car park on Saturday April 11th, at 11.45am.

While last Tuesday’s City of Derry Ladies Bring and Win competition, which was played on Tuesday March 24th, was won by Lou Peoples (24) 25 point; second was Cheryl Chambers (19) who scored 21 points and Marie Clifford (26) with 19 points claimed third spot.
