Burnside and Frazer pick up Colours Sports accolades

The Ulster University Students’ Union recently hosted its annual Colours Sports Awards Ceremony at the Titanic Centre, Belfast.

The gala ceremony celebrated the achievements of both individual and sporting teams at the University.

Gillian Bell, Sports President, said: “This event is the pinnacle of our sporting year. It is a great night of celebration and also reward for all the hard work and successes of sportspersons across the University.”

Duo Megan Frazer (Hockey) and Jonathan Burnside (Fencing) were the worthy winners of the Silver Salver and President’s Plate for winning the most outstanding sports person awards for their respective campuses.

Burnside has represented at international level for Ireland and Northern Ireland and is certainly a student to watch out for in the future. Frazer has captain Ireland at the World League 2 tournament
