Winter conditions help golfers

FOYLE Sunday Society had another good turnout and with full winter conditions in play the scoring was of a high standard.

The best on the day returned by the Junior Convenor Damien McColgan (13) an excellent winning score of 45 points, followed in second place by Martin McEleney (19) with 43 points with Eamon O’Kane (18) third with 42 points.

The Pitches Restaurant Spring League is now underway and with the Qualifying stage of the League running until Sunday, March 24, the 18 hole stableford competitions has best two scores to count at each hole with six best cards from ten counting and the top eight teams qualify for the finals, for competition rules and to enter a team contact golf reception.

This week’s club competitions are the Pitchers Restaurant Spring League which continues daily, as does the Easter Egg Competitions and the Foyle Sunday Society will again be teeing up this weekend.
