Carroll’s good form continues

FRESH from his Thursday Society win Michael Carroll (18) carried on from where he left off to record yet anothe victory at Prehen, this time scoring 33 points in the Ball sweep on Saturday, only missing out on his Turkey because of the small entry, a result of the course opening late due to early frost.

John Gallagher (17) was placed second a single point behind and Peter Deans (26) took the third spot on 31 points on a count back.

Carroll (18) believes in leading from the front and he epitomised this mantra in exemplary fashion by taking first place in the weekly Thursday Society competition, signing for a very respectable 34 points over the thirteen holes played and finishing off with a flourish by birdying the final hole.

That total left him three points clear of the Society’s hard working secretary Eamonn McCourt (11) who took second place courtesy of a tie break with Sean Monaghan (17).

Members of the Society are asked to watch the website for final details of the forthcoming Christmas party.
