As always Institute’s young players from the U9’s and 10’s had another great morning at Ballysally.

The U12’s lost 4-1 to Bertie Peacock Youth U12 with Luiz Boyd scoring, the U15’s have a fantastic 4-3 win over Portadown Youth with Reece Kincaid (2), Cahir O’Connor and Adam Arbuckle on the score-sheet.

The U16’s lost 4-2 to Ballymoorm despite Jordan Campbell’s brace and there as an eight goal thriller in the U17 game with James Crawford (2), Matthew Lynch and Kyle McGonigle all scoring in their 4-4 draw with Dungannon Swifts.

Meanwhile Ben Doherty and Jamie Dunn played for Northern Ireland U18 in their 3-2 defeat to the Republic of Ireland U18, while ex-Stute net-minder Nathan Gartside, who is currently at Watford, played for the N Ireland U17 side, which lost to Georgia, in the Elite round of the UEFA European U17 Championships.
