THE good times continue for Derry City’s Shane McEleney.

Fresh from his FAI Cup man of the match display, which he helped the Candy Stripes clinch the blue ribbon trophy, he has been selected for Northern Ireland’s U21 squad who face England, next Tuesday night.

As exclusively revealed in Sentinel Sport a few weeks ago, the big centre-back decided to switch his allegiance from the Republic of Ireland to the North, also making that decision was Shane’s younger brother Patrick.

Incidentally that match at Blackpool’s Bloomfield Road ground, will be shown live on ESPN, from 7pm, next Tuesday evening.
