Oxford United Stars travel to Crumlin Star in the Tennent’s Irish Cup fifth round this Saturday (KO 1.30pm).

Boss Emmett McLaughlin feels his side have a chance to progress to the next round.

“I read an article on Crumlin and they too wanted a big team in the fifth round, but at the end of day it is a decent scenario for us because we could have got a draw which was a hell of a lot tougher.

“We’ve drawn another intermediate side which gives us a fighting chance to get through to the next round. We’ve done our homework on Crumlin so the boys will be prepared. We know we are up against a good side, and they have strengthened recently.

“It will be tough but hopefully if we can play to our strengths and get a bit of luck, the boys will have nothing to fear. We’re going well so far, but we have to keep that going; we can’t just be playing well in cup games.”
