Richard Lynch sets up an attacking move for Gransha Institute during their match against Hatmore Harps. INLS0712-154KM

Gransha Institute...0

Hatmore Harps...2

THIS was a well deserved win for Hatmore Harps as they set their stall out early and that was to park men behind the ball when defending and hit Gransha Institute on the break which they did very well.

Gransha Institute played some nice stuff when in possession but they gave the ball away in dangerous areas and in the end that was to cost them the game.

Hatmore Harps made the breakthrough on twenty minutes as they broke down a Gransha Institute attack and the moved the ball very quickly from the back to the front and Dylan McDermott was left clean through on goal and he slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 1-0 and that goal was all that separated the sides at the break.

The second half was much the same as the first and Hatmore again broke clear on seventy minutes this time Mickey Meenan was left in the clear and he slotted home to double Hatmore’s lead to 2-0 and that was enough to give them all three points from this encounter.

The First Division leaders take on Oakleaf Celtic at St Columbs Park Stadium pitch, this Saturday (KO 10.30am).
