Despite having duo Shane McGinty and Aidan McCauley both available along with new signing Oisin McMenamin, the Stute boss admits after last weekend’s super display at Donegal Celtic, he has a nice selection headache.

Unfortunately recent signing Michael McCrudden will not be available this weekend as he’s cup tied and Ciaron Harkin also misses out through suspension.

“Michael can’t play in the Intermediate Cup because he has played 12 games with Ballinamallard United this season,” he said.

“Oisin travelled to Donegal Celtic last Saturday but unfortunately his international clearance hasn’t come through yet and the club only found out when we were travelling up to Belfast.

“Yes it was unfortunate for him that he couldn’t play, but it was good for him to see that we are a good attacking side and he’s an attacking player and hopefully he can come and add goals for us.

“Shane and Aidan are back available again, but Ciaron is still missing, but you would imagine it would be harsh to make wholesale changes come Saturday, but you have to assess what this week has in stall for the boys at training and we’ll take it from there.”

Deery also confirmed that his squad are looking forward to making the trip to the Seasiders.

Having already played at Clandeboye Road twice this season, winning one and losing one, Stute will fancy their chances of progressing to the quarter-finals.

“We have done quite well in cup competitions this year apart from the disappointment of Sport & Leisure Swifts and outside of the Irish Cup, this is the biggest cup competition for Championship clubs, so we want to do well,” Deery added.

“We know it’s going to be tough but I think the two performances down there were really good.

“We lost 1-0 to Bangor but we were very unlucky not to get anything.

“In fact in the first half we could have been a couple of goals up and their winning goal was a super free-kick, then a week later we went back to Clandeboye Road and beat Ards, so we are looking forward to the game, because we know it’s a good pitch.”

Stute are likely to come up against old boys Thomas Wray, Dean and Stephen Curry as Garth Scates’ side look to get back to winning ways after their 2-2 draw in the league at Lisburn Distillery last weekend.
