LINCOLN Courts stretched their lead at the top of the Premier Division after their win over Greysteel, nearest pursuers Maghera Strollers were without a game.

In the battle of the bottom two Sion got the better of Burndennett. Roe Rovers defeated BBOB while Newbuidings and Drummond shared six goals and the points.

On Friday night, the first of the City Cup semi-final’s will take place between Ardmore and Maghera Strollers, this game will be played at Wilton Park (KO 6.45pm), while there are four Premier Division league games on Saturday.

City Cup

Ardmore v Maghera Strollers

This should be a cracker between two of the top sides in the North West. Ardmore have virtually wrapped up the first division title with some impressive performances, they have some talented players in their ranks namely Danny Doherty, Jack Higgins and Johnny Ward to name just three.

Maghera are going all out to win the Premier Division although they are going to have a busy end of the season as they have still a number of games to play, they are an experienced outfit, however Ardmore may prove to strong.

Prediction: Ardmore.

Premier Division

Burndennett v Greysteel

The ’Dennett are staring relegation in the face especially after last weeks defeat against Sion, they have struggled all season and they look like paying the price.

Greysteel have had a strange season reaching the semi final of the Matt Morrison Junior cup but failing to produce that form in the league, they may still be good enough to win here.

Prediction: Greysteel.

City Colts v Drummond

Two clubs merely playing out the season, the Colts are rumoured to be pulling out their side at the end of the season and that would be a shame as they have some good players in their ranks.

Drummond picked up a good point at Newbuildings last week but player manager Chris Moore will have to strengthen if they are to be a force next season.

Prediction: Score Draw.

Lincoln Courts v Newbuildings United Reserves

The Courts having reached the Matt Morrison final have set their sights on a league and cup double, they are in a rich vein of form and would be worthy champions.

Newbuildings can be pleased the way their season has gone, not always able to field a settled side due to first team commitments they have done well.

Prediction: Lincoln Courts.

Sion v Roe Rovers

Sion gave themselves a little chance of avoiding the drop with their win last week however they need at least another couple of victories and that doesn’t look likely.

Rovers are pushing for third spot and they will know that a couple of poor performances during the season has cost them, they may win this one.

Prediction: Roe Rovers.
