Saturday was another bad day for North West sides in the Irish Junior cup with five sides exiting the competition.

In the match of the round at Eglinton the home side had an excellent two one win over the fancied Lincoln Courts with goals from Brown and Duffy while McIntosh replied for the visitors.

Drummond had a good two one away win at Bloomfield thanks to strikes from McElwee and McGonigle.

Donemana entertained Knockbreda and won three one with Dougherty and McBeth on target.Tony Clyde scored a hat trick in 10 minutes to help Roe Rover to a three two win over Erne Rovers.

Irish Street’s poor season continued as they went down seven one away at Beragah Swifts, Tullyally Colts went down by the odd goal of three at Woodlands with McFaul on target.

In a high scoring game at Claudy United lost five three to New Santos, Churchill were beaten four one at Wilton Park against Ballyclare where Doherty scored for the home side.

In the Premier Division Ardmore continued their good start to the season with a four three win over BBOB thanks to a McCallion hat trick and one form Doherty, Lisahally defeated Greysteel three one with Whoriskey, Tracey and Robertson on target.

It’s back to league action this Saturday with four games in the Premier Division.

Lincoln Courts v Claudy Rovers

Can the Courts recover after their shock exit from the Irish Junior cup at First Division Eglinton, did they take the villagers to lightly they will hope to bounce back here?

Rovers also suffered a heavy defeat in the Junior cup although they were not at full strength they also lost their opening league game so they must improve immediately.

Prediction Score Draw.

Foyle Wanderers v Limavady United Drummond

This is arguably the match of the day between last seasons champions Foyle Wanderers and a very good Drummond side. Both sides have plenty of fire power up front with Robbie Godfrey for the home side and Tony Clyde for the Roesiders.

Prediction Score Draw.

BBOB v Tullyally

Don Olphert’s side were involved in a seven goal thriller against Ardmore last week but they lost out that is their second league defeat in a row, they have the players who should be doing better.

The Colts were unlucky to lose in the Junior cup but showed their true form in their opening day win against Claudy Rovers, the home side might just be good enough.

Prediction BBOB.

Ardmore v Lisahally

Damien McGee’s side have flown out of the traps with two wins on the trot and they are scoring plenty of goals his players are determined to win the title this season and they are the team to beat so far/

Lisahally have a mostly local side that is packed with talented players they are also a well organised outfit who will have a decant season however they may not stop the men from McCourts.

Prediction Ardmore.
