Leaders Eglinton lost at home to fellow title contenders Brigade, while Coleraine had an impressive win over Ardmore.

The Villagers scored 207 thanks to an undefeated 91 from Orion Williams, but Brigade got home by two wickets with Danza Hyatt top scoring with 71 and Ryan Hunter also scored well with an impressive 40.

Batting first Eglinton never really got going as Beechgrove skipper Andy Britton (4-30) saw him take the opening three wickets, but Williams and Stuart Thompson steady the ship for the home side.

However after performing well with the bat Thompson started well with the ball for Eglinton as he took openers David Barr and Gareth McKeegan’s wickets, but Hyatt and Hunter produced the goods when it was needed for the Beechgrove men, who will now feel they have a really good chance of clinching the title.

They currently sit two points behind the joint leaders - Eglinton and Coleraine - but they have played a game less.

Coleraine joined Eglinton at the top after a six wicket win at home to Ardmore.

The visitors scored 202 for four with Decker Curry scoring his 99th century, while Ryan Brolly also did well with the bat scoring 44; however the Bannsiders got home comfortably with Sanji Randiv top scoring with 81 and Rishi Chopra also had a top notch innnings scoring 69.

Bready had a big four wicket win over Drummond and thus virtually guaranteed that they will not be in a relegation/promotion play-off game at the end of the season.

Batting first the Roesiders scored 197 for eight with Richard McDaid scoring 63 and Kyle Morrow with 37; but David Rankin, who recently got recalled to the Ireland squad scored 56 and an unbeaten 42 from David Scanlon saw the Magheramason side home.
