Still early in the season, the big game of the day sees Strabane host title contenders Brigade.

Ardmore v Eglinton

The home side have bowed out of the two main cup competitions in successive weeks so they must now concentrate on their league campaign.

There bowling was very poor in last weeks defeat at Donemana and other than Paul McDowell their batting was also poor.

Eglinton’s pro Oraine Williams fell just five runs short of his century last week and with Stuart Thompson also showing a bit of form things are looking up for the Villagers, the home side may just about shade it.

Prediction: Ardmore.

Donemana v Bready

The visitors usually do well in this fixture.

They were indebted to David Rankin last week who batted superbly but their bowling does not look the strongest. They could be doing with another pace bowler and will be hoping Craig Young recovers from injury quickly.

Donemana didn’t get out of second gear in last week’s win over Ardmore; skipper Ricky Lee Dougherty will have been delighted to see many of his players in fine form with the bat. Another win looks odds on.

Prediction: Donemana.

Drummond v Coleraine

The Roesiders, after their opening day defeat, got back to winning ways last Saturday. However that was against a team from the championship, they will find Premier league games much tougher.

Coleraine haven’t been extended in winning their first two games. They have a quality side with professional Roshen Silva showing that he can bowl as well as bat. They should continue their winning run.

Prediction: Coleraine.

Strabane v Brigade

Ryan Gallagher’s Red Caps had few problems in last week’s win over Burndennett with the talented Aaron Gillespie bowling superbly. However there are bigger challenges ahead and this is one of them.

Brigade are one of the favourites to win silverware this season. They have a well balanced side and opener David Barr was sheer quality with his century last week. They should win this one.

Prediction: Brigade.
