David Barr has won the Danske Bank Player of the Round award for his match winning innings for Bready against Strabane.

The North West Warriors player scored 86 as Bready chased down Strabane’s total of 225 to win by five wickets.

Barr beat off the strong challenges of Chris Moore and Neal Stewart of Drummond, Lee Brolly of Ardmore, Craig Averill of Bready, Barry Scott of Strabane, Ifty Hussain of Brigade and Jan Frylinck from Donemana.

Recently Barr deservedly received his impressive accolade from Bready’s Irish international pace bowler Craig Young.

The next round of the Danske Bank Senior Cup is this Saturday with Ardmore facing Brigade at the Bleachgreen, Drummond taking on Eglinton, Donemana travelling to near neighbours Killyclooney and Bready visiting fellow Long’s Supervalu Premiership men Coleraine.
