WATERSIDE Sharks judo section have added a new coach, Ronan Simpson to the coaching staff.
The Waterside Sharks judo section is just over two years old and have six current Northern Ireland Schools Champions amongst their membership. Having trained the very successful St. Columb's College judo team there is no doubt that Ronan will be a useful addition to the coaching team.

Ronan has pent time instructing outdoor pursuits and studying Outdoor Education in Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales. He has experience and qualifications in the full range of outdoor activities and his ability to bring these skills to the judo mat in the form of strength and conditioning will bear fruit.

Club administrator, Paul McCrossan, said: "Ronan is clearly a very skilled judoka and he has a relaxed style of delivering judo, I think that the young people are going to enjoy having him around."

Training is every Wednesday from 6.30 pm - 8pm and new members are always welcome.
