TEN year-old Victoria Colhoun certainly is one to keep an eye on in the judo world.
The Eglinton girl who trains with a number of clubs throughout the North West is another protégé of well known coach Jim Toland.
Victoria, has collected a host of top honours since she started taking a keen interest in Judo, since 2006 she has secured 14 gold medals and one silver, but her dream of competiting at the 2012 London Olympics may just elude her.
"She's only 10 years-old so to be honest I think the London Olympics will come to soon for her," said her father Keith.
"Obviously myself and the family will give all the support Victoria needs to try and reach the Olympics, but we'll have to wait and see.
"At the minute she loves the sport and really enjoys all the coaching and tournaments. Our son Aaron started the judo before Victoria joined in, but he lost interest while she has stuck at it."
The talented judo player has also been called into the Irish squad over recent months and next October she'll be travelling to Birmingham, to compete in the British Championships.
"Once a month Victoria travels with the Irish squad for training and we are hopeful that she'll be selected for the British Championships in October."
