Primary Schools Cross Country

LAST Friday's third and final race in the local Primary Schools Cross Country League was staged at Templemore Sports Complex in difficult wintery conditions.
Long Tower's Christopher McLaughlin made it three wins out of three in the series, finishing ahead of Hollybush PS runner Shea McDevitt and St Therese's Ronan Doherty. This trio dominated all three boys races.

In the girls race, Kerri McCallion of St Patrick's PS made it third time lucky after a previous two runners up places with a great run ahead of Hollybush PS pair Erin McDevitt and Orla Hughes.

The top three boys and girls teams, based on overall series results, will now go forward to the Northern Ireland Finals in Mallusk on Wednesday, February 24. In additon the top five individuals, outside of the qualifying teams, will go through, so good luck to all.
