DERRY City's player of the season so far Gareth McGlynn admits he and his team-mates only have one thing on their mind - winning the Premier Division title.
The Brandywell men currently trail leaders Bohemians by seven points, with the Dubliners also having played a game less.
But the 25-year-old, like all good seasoned professionals, is taking one game at a time, starting with Sligo Rovers tomorrow (
Saturday) night.
"At the end of the day all I want is a league medal at the end of the year," said McGlynn.
"However, all we are doing is taking each game as it comes, starting with Sligo. We know it's going to be a difficult match, but we got a good result against Bohemians on Tuesday and hopefully we can carry that form on."
The Donegal native is in line to become the youngest ever Derry City player to get a testimonial as he's been involved with the first team for over eight years and last Tuesday evening he was given the captain's armband, much to his astonishment.
"It was a big honour to be captain of Derry City. To be honest it was a shock.
"Nevertheless I just took it in my stride and got on with the game, I don't think it really effected my game, I just got on with the job in hand, booking our place in the semi-final."
The midfielder, who has played a pivotal role this season for City, is big enough to admit he feared his days at the club were numbered.
"Stephen (Kenny) came in at the start of the year and I didn't know really were I stood.
"To be honest and I think he would probably say it himself, I thought I probably wasn't going to be playing much this season, but so far so good and that hasn't been the case.
"I just knuckled down and got a good pre-season under my belt and I'm reaping the rewards now."
McGlynn, who has played in a number of positions this season, admits he would even dawn the goalkeeper's jersey if it could guarantee a victory.
"I don't mind where I play, as long as we are getting three points every Friday night, in fact I would play anywhere, even in goals as long as we win.
"We have a lot of talented players in our squad, particularly in centre midfield. It's about whatever team and formation is available for Stephen. We all just want to play and get the three points."
