INSTITUTE striker Ryan McCreadie is starting to find the back of the net at the crucial end of the season.
The talented front man has been playing in a lone striker role over recent weeks, but that new role certainly has helped him.
"I have scored six goals in my last five starts and I'm happy enough with that," said the Manchester United supporter.
"Ob
viously we got a great result against Dungannon Swifts last week, while on Saturday we just missed out on getting another win.
"We have been working hard in our last few matches and to be honest we all knew we had to, so that we could move away from the bottom of the table."
Since the departure of Liam Beckett, McCreadie along with a few other players have started to blossom.
"Since Liam has left us everybody has chipped in together, the entire squad has been working far harder and we are more of a team now and are a lot better.
"Raymond McGuinness has also helped us a lot, he has been very, very good and I think we have been far more organised than what we usual were and that's all credit to both John (Gregg) and McGinn.
"Everyone at the club is pulling the same way at the minute and because of that we are getting the results that we need."
This weekend the Waterside men host Lisburn Distillery in the final game of the season and McCreadie is hoping to finish the campaign on both a scoring and winning note.
"I feel Saturday's point with Ballymena United is a big one for us, however three points next week will give us a chance to go above Larne, which will mean we'll finish in 13th place and that's exactly what we'll be aiming to do."
