Striker Paul Brown signed a two year deal with the Waterside out-fit last night (Tuesday), much to the delight of boss John Gregg.
"I'm delighted we have signed Paul, myself and the club have put in a lot of hard work over the last few weeks to get a deal sorted with Limavady United and I'm glad it's finally sorted," said the 'Stute gaffer.
"He's a quality centre-forward who I feel is exactly what we need at our club. We have quality strikers at the club like Declan Divin, Ryan McCreadie and Ciaran Ferry, but I just felt we need another dimension to our game and Browner gives us that."
Gregg also admitted that former Newry City defender Paddy McLaughlin could also be on his way to Drumahoe and he may not be the only other new face at the Riverside Stadium.
"I know the supporters were getting a bit edgy that we hadn't signed anyone, but hopefully now with Paul signed he will be the start.
"I have always said that I won't sign players just for the sake of it, I want to sign players who I feel want to be at Institute Football Club and in Paul Brown, I feel that's exactly what I have got.
"Only a few weeks ago I re-signed James Quigley and a few eyebrows were raised, but I know that we have a lot of young gifted midfielders, but I have told them if they keep James out of the side, then they'll be doing well, because in my opinion he's one of the most intelligent players in the Irish League.
"Although he might be getting on a bit, he's exactly the type of player we need at the club, because last season we had too many in-experienced players, cutting their teeth in top flight football, so hopefully James' little bit of guile will help them."
