INSTITUTE manager John Gregg admits this weekend's clash at Ballymena United, is a cup final for his side. (KO 3pm).
United are currently rooted at the foot of the Premiership and are ten points behind 'Stute, but Gregg isn't taking anything for granted.
"The Ballymena game is a cup final as far as I'm concerned, like every other game to us," he said.
"People can
say this and that but they won't change my opinion that every game for this football club, for my players and everyone working here, it's a cup final every week.
"What has happened in the past is exactly that and Ballymena now become the biggest game for this club."
The Coleraine man remains confident his side can get a positive result at the Showgrounds, but he's hoping that duo David Ogilby and Philip Lowry, didn't pick up any injuries in last night's (Tuesday), Northern Ireland Under 23 game in Slovakia.
"To be honest I don't care about Northern Ireland Under 23's, they don't concern me, but what does concern me is that if Philip and particularly David gets injured playing in that game then I'm in serious trouble.
"At the minute with Mark Scoltock still a long way before he's back in first team contention, I only have Paddy McLaughlin and OG as recognised centre-halfs."
Gregg will also be telling his players this week that they need to put in a similar display, which they produced against Linfield on Saturday, if they want to get anything against Roy Walker's men.
"One thing that stood out to me on Saturday was that unless we work hard we aren't a good side, we have to work hard in every game.
"We have to work hard to get any result in a game of football and this Saturday will be no different at Ballymena.
"I'll ensure my players concentrate solely on the Ballymena game this week at training, it's a match we want to get something out of and with that set of players in my dressing room I think we can."
Striker Paul Brown continues to play through the pain barrier but remains a doubt for this weekend's encounter, but on the plus side Gregg looks to have a clean-bill of health for the trip to the Braidmen.
"Unfortunately Browner is struggling with his two groins giving him problems, to be fair to the big man he has had the problem for sometime now and it's something we need to sort out sooner rather than later.
"But apart from Paul and barring neither Philip and David don't pick up injuries in Slovakia I should have a fully fit squad to choose from."
