LIMAVADY'S Party on the Pitch 2009 will kick off in style this Saturday, June 27, with a fantastic line up of acts taking the stage to raise money for Rossmar Special Needs School and Benbradagh Resource Centre.

The festival will showcase the talent of over 20 homegrown music stars of the future with an eclectic range of acts taking the stage.
The all day family affair, beginning at noon and finishing up at 1.00am, boasts a fantastic line-up which include
s Limavady's own, Stevie Martin, Paddy Nash, perennial crowd favourites Stout, and an acoustic set by two Members of Furlo, The Lounge Lizards.
From further afield comes the atmospheric, post-rock, Belfast outfit Kasper Rosa, a band which elicited a simple yet powerful response from BBC Radio 1's Rory McConnell when he stated: 'I love this.'
Other potential showstealers come in the form of Rock outfits Stone Crows and Tommy Shots, the delightfully named 17 feet of meat, Mayah Sky, and the hardest working cover band in the North West, Mojo Filter.
Music is not the only thing on the agenda however as there will be plenty of other activities for punters, including a kids only marquee, fairground attractions, and plenty of other treats for all the family. The Festival is also fully accessible to people with disabilities.
Organisers of the event; Zekiye McAleer, Arlne McAleese, Amanda Gallagher and P.J Stafford, say they can't wait until Saturday, and hope that last years success will encourage an even larger crowd of revellers this year.
Organiser Zekiye McAleer said: "It's going to be a great day, we have a great line up of bands and activities on show, and all for a fantastic cause."
Last year the event raised £1600 for good causes, and this years recipients are delighted that the organisers have taken the initiative to put the show together all in the name of charity.
Party on the pitch is a non-profit, charitable enterprise. Entrance is £10 or free for under 16's (Pay on the door). Be our friend on Facebook and check out our website http://www.partyonthepitch.org/
