Objection to council clothing logo

AN investigation is being held by Limavady Borough Council into how other councils handle contention issues of logos on Council issued clothing.
This has arisen after a member of staff at the Council has objected to having to wear clothing emblazoned with the Borough Council's name in both English and Irish.
The matter was raised at last week's meeting of the Council by UUC Councillor Leslie Cubitt who called for an equality impact assessment into the matter after some workers reportedly complained to him about having to wear .
Mr. Cubitt claimed that a number of workers had raised objections to the logo with him.
It was agreed that officials would investigate to see how other councils handle such problems and if Council issued personal protective equipment, required for a health and safety reasons.
