Backburn Path plans

THE working group for the regeneration of the Backburn Path has now become more formalised.
Groundwork is continuing to work on the first phase of the master plan for the path which is the Community Garden.
A report to Limavady Borough Council's development committee by Valerie Richmond, director of development said: "This includes providing sketch designs and also liaising in relation to land ownership and insurance issues with LCDI and the Housing Executive.
"Currently Council staff are exploring other potential sources of funding for this project. The total cost for the project is around £350,000, and the first phase will be funded through Local Community Fund monies."
