Money is pouring into betting outlets such as Paddy Power, and the local lad seems set to leapfrog Diana Vickers to become the number one prospect to lift the pop crown and potentially take the Christmas Number 1 chart slot.

ctor finalists, he has already enjoyed chart success with the track, 'Hero', recorded in support of the Help For Heroes and the Royal British Legion Poppy appeal. The wild haired teenager's rendention of George Michael's, 'One More time', on saturday night earned complimentary comments from all four judges on the ITV show.

Simon Cowell, who mentors the 16-year-old, added that if he does not get into the final "it will be a miracle".
Eoghan's campaign for victory took another boost as word emerged that troubled diva Amy Winehouse has taken a shine to the Dungiven star in the making.
In fact Winehouse phoned Eoghan to offer her support and tell him she is a fan.
It has been a hectic week for Eoghan who made a whistle-stop visit home to visit his new baby sister, Chrissie Mia.
Eoghan's dad Chrissie said his son is "stepping up a gear" as the finishing line looms large.
"You can see him grow in confidence and it is great to see him get more confidence and it is great to see him get more comfortable in himself. All the judges are saying he will get to the final and we really hope he does, but it is important that people keep voting for him.
"Coming home last week gave him a real lift and I think that has driven him on to do better.
"But if people want to see him in the final they have to vote for him, no one is safe!"
