Works to affect city centre

TRAFFIC will be disrupted in Londonderry city centre for a week from next Monday (September 24).

NI Water and its contractor Quinn’s Automatic Ltd will shortly commence work to repair an existing foul sewer pipeline at the junction of Shipquay Street and Bank Place.

Pipelaying operations will also take place on both Shipquay Street and Bank Place.

NI Water says the work will commence on Monday, September 24, and it is anticipated that it will take one week to complete.

Work is also programmed to take place during the evening and night time on Monday, September 24.

As with all works of this nature, there will be an element of disruption to traffic in the area for the duration of the work. NI Water has been in consultation with DRD Roads Service to minimise this disruption.

NI Water and our contractor Quinn’s Automatic Ltd. would like to thank the public in advance for their patience and cooperation and will do everything possible to minimise disruption and complete this essential improvement work as quickly as possible

If you are a customer in the area and have any special needs or requirements that you wish us to be aware of, please contact Waterline on 08457 440088, and quote KL464 Bank Place Sewer Replacement.

All traffic diversions will be clearly signposted and access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times during the road closure.
