DUP Alderman Maurice Devenney has welcomed the revelation by Royal Mail that a Newbuildings post box is to open again in time for the Chistmas rush.

Mr Devenney told the Sentinel: “The post box hasn’t been available for the past number of months, which has made things difficult for people needing to post things outside post office opening hours.

“It’s good news that the facility is going to be made available again in the months coming up to Christmas.”
