The visit to the village was made by steam train and was the final stop on their two-day visit to Northern Ireland, which began on Monday with formal audiences with the Secretary of State, Theresa Villiers, as well as First Minister Arlene Foster and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness.

The Royal couple spent the night privately at Hillsborough Castle before an early start this morning to visit the Giant’s Causeway and tour the Causeway Visitor Centre.

The day of engagements will continue with a visit to Bushmills, an unveiling ceremony to honour the Somme Fallen and a private reception and civic lunch at Royal Portrush before arriving in Bellarena.
