Derry City and Strabane District Council’s genealogist, Brian Mitchell, will be hosting presentations on tracing family history in the Tower Museum at 2pm on Monday, October 5 and Monday, October 19.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend and there will be an opportunity after each presentation to raise any specific queries you may have about researching your own family history.

Mr Mitchell is a Member of Accredited Genealogists Ireland and the author of a number of Irish genealogy reference books such as A New Genealogical Atlas of Ireland and A Guide to Irish Parish Registers.

Brian has been involved in local, family and emigration research in North West Ireland since 1982 and as Genealogist with Derry City and Strabane District Council he offers, by email, a family history advisory service.
