A weekend of events is planned at All Saints Clooney to commemorate the Centenary of The Somme.
Events get underway tomorrow night, Friday, July 1, at 7.30pm with the opening of a display of memorabilia from WWI and WW2, as well as items from more recent conflicts.
Refreshments will also be served including tea, coffee and tray bakes.
Also taking part are Tullintrain Pipe Band and the evening will include a barbecue and dance.
Tickets for the event are £10 and are available form Andy Deans, the Churchwardens or through the Parish Office.
Saturday’s events include the second day of the exhibition and a family day of entertainment, including in-put from local choirs, bands and musicians.
There will also be refreshments.
On Sunday at 11am at All Saints’ Church there will be a Somme Remembrance Service in conjunction with the Royal British Legion and at 3pm there will be an Act of Remembrance with members of the Orange Order.
