Survey on leisure centre plan
The Council is calling on residents and groups to talk to them about the draft equality impact assessment on the future of indoor leisure.
In April the Council decided that the construction of a single leisure centre, to replace the existing centres at Cascades, Waves and Craigavon Leisure Centre, at the South Lake site was its preferred option.

Chairman of the Leisure Services Committee, Councillor Ronnie Harkness explained: “The purpose of this consultation is to help identify any equality issues relating to Council’s decision to build a single leisure centre and where an adverse impact may exist, provide recommendations to eliminate or reduce the impact."
The full draft EQIA document is available on the Council website www.craigavon.gov.uk.
Copies are also available at the Civic Centre, Lough Neagh Discovery Centre, Waves Leisure Complex, Cascades Leisure Complex and Craigavon Leisure Centre.
