Sun shines on three bridge walk

THE sun shone on the Londonderry three bridge walk in aid of Foyle Search and Rescue at the weekend.

Mayor Kevin Campbell said: “The beautiful sunshine certainly added to the occasion. The turnout was absolutely fantastic and it was great to see young and old come out to support the event, including many family members and friends of Foyle Search and Rescue volunteers.

“I believe that we collected approximately £2800 today. This figure is set to increase over the coming weeks to over £3000 and I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who took the time to take part today or sponsor someone who participated.

“All monies raised will go towards supporting the work of Foyle Search and Rescue, an extremely worthy cause who provide such integral emergency response support to our community.”
