Stephanie's dear memories

Following an appeal for old pictures and stories for the Sentinel's nostalgia pages, a local lady has sent in her '˜trip down memory lane'.

Stephanie Lyttle, who originally lived in Aubrey Street, has kindly offered to share her photos and memories of her father who appeared in the Sentinel in 1959.

She explains: “My Dad was Jackie Lyttle, he worked in Biggers Pork Store from the age of 17, he also worked there when it was Buchanans and The North Ulster.

“The last job he had was managing the store. My Brother John also worked there in the 70’s.

“We lived in Aubrey Street off Wapping Lane.

“My Dad gave me the Sentinel page from 1959 which I have treasured ever since. He sadly passed away in February 1992.

“I do hope these pictures will bring some good memories for your readers.”
