A local record company and multinational coffee shop have teamed up for a series of live shows across Northern Ireland this month.
Smalltown America Music is an independent music publisher based in the Northwest, which has hooked up with Caffè Nero for the venture.
Charlene Hegarty, Company Director explains: “Our company mantra is ‘Good music needs to be heard’ - the Nero Live tour is a very exciting opportunity for our artists, allowing them to welcome fans to enjoy their music in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
“We are thrilled to be the first company in Northern Ireland to facilitate this tour.”
Paul Ettinger, Music Director at Caffè Nero, explains: “The Nero live experience has never been taken to Northern Ireland until now and we are confident that these tours will be as successful as the UK tours and will lead on to similar success for the artists.
“Music has always been critical to the Caffè Nero experience and the support for grassroots talent is fundamental to our brand values.”
The Northern Irish Nero Live tour will feature rising stars Little Bear, Alana Henderson, Our Krypton Son and Sullivan and Gold.
Alana Henderson is described as a star in waiting, delivering tales of loss and love with melody, heart and her cello.
Fans of the old fangled charms of Tom Waits’ ‘Closing Time’ will love Our Krypton Son.
If you love the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club and Fleet Foxes you would be crazy to miss Sullivan & Gold – they deliver story, soul and melody with two voices and two guitars.
Little Bear are Ireland’s ‘one’s to watch,’ with sold out shows North and South of the border these events present a wonderful opportunity to see the band live in an intimate setting. All events are free and we actively welcome music fans from all ages to attend.
