Show your love this St Valentine’s Day: MP

LONDONDERRY MP wants local folks to join him in declaring their love this St Valentine’s Day by posting a love note in the local British Heart Foundation (BHF) window.

Mr Durkan’s already posted his, which reads “I LOVE HEART MONTH”

He said: “I’m proud to play my part in supporting BHF Northern Ireland who work tirelessly to raise funds for medical research and provide care for those affected by heart disease - the number one killer here in the North.

“I know of many people in Derry who been personally affected by heart disease and would therefore encourage as many people as possible to pop down to the Ferryquay Street shop to write a love note.“

By showing your heart in the shop’s window, you’ll be supporting thousands of people throughout the North who are currently living with heart disease.”

Linda Puchala, BHF Northern Ireland Regional Manager says: “We are delighted that Mark is supporting our Love Notes campaign by posting a message in the Derry Shop window and hope that the local people will follow suit.

“Posting a Love Note in your local BHF Northern Ireland shop window is one of the easiest ways you can show your love for that special someone whilst the small donation of £1 will help us continue our life-saving work.”

For more information on how to take part visit your local BHF Northern Ireland Shop and write a Love Note or visit bhf.org.uk/lovenotes. You can call 0844 412 5000 to locate your nearest BHF Shop.
