FIREFIGHTERS from Limavady Fire Station will demonstrate a ‘road traffic collision extrication’ at Lidl carpark next Tuesday.

The demonstration will take place on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 3.30pm. The demonstration forms part of Road Safety Week 2012, which runs from November 19-25.

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service 9NIFRS) would like to invite members of the public to attend the event and witness at first hand the carnage on our roads and the work of the emergency services at such scenes There will be a simulated road traffic collision and Firefighters will be removing a casualty trapped in the vehicle just as they would at the scene of a real road traffic collision.

We all have a responsibility to make our roads safe and the message from NIFRS this Road Safety Week is ‘Respect Everyone’s Journey’.
